UNBOX is an urban design intervention aimed at restoring ecological balance and improving environmental quality within dense urban contexts impacted by rapid urbanization. The project introduces a modular vertical structure that acts as a breathing element, integrating vegetation, habitat creation, and environmental remediation within the urban fabric. The design incorporates layered planting systems, porous structural components, and integrated habitats that support biodiversity while enhancing air quality and microclimatic performance. As an element of urban green infrastructure, UNBOX contributes to air purification, thermal comfort, and ecological regeneration in underutilized public spaces. Strategically located along key urban nodes and corridors, the intervention serves as both an environmental and social catalyst, fostering interaction while reconnecting the city with natural systems. Its modular and adaptable nature allows for scalable implementation across varying urban conditions. Overall, UNBOX establishes a sustainable urban prototype that strengthens ecological resilience, enhances environmental performance, and contributes to the revitalization of the urban environment.
