Old Age Home

Name: Old Age Home

The Old Age Home is designed as a low-rise, courtyard-based residential community that emphasizes comfort, familiarity, and human scale. The layout is organized around a central open court and axial pathways, creating a clear and legible circulation system while encouraging social interaction. Individual residential units are arranged in clusters, forming a village-like composition that fosters a sense of belonging and community living. The architecture adopts simple plastered walls and sloping terracotta-tiled roofs, reflecting a vernacular character that conveys warmth and domestic familiarity. Wide walkways, stepped plinths, and open transitional spaces ensure accessibility and ease of movement for elderly residents. Landscaped lawns and soft green buffers enhance visual calmness, natural ventilation, and microclimatic comfort. Largely, the project presents a serene, context-responsive environment where architecture, open space, and community living are seamlessly integrated to support the well-being of its residents.
